Abstract: For different purposes different entangled states are usually needed, but a special entangled five-qubit state has been shown to be used for perfect quantum teleportation, quantum state sharing, and quantum dense coding. Based on cavity quantum electrodynamics the new efficient scheme for generating this state is proposed. The procedure can be operated as follows. First choose the initial state of atoms and the cavity field, then let a number of atoms in cavity field interact and make choice of their interaction time. Through the classical unitary transformations the five atoms are entangled in the special state. In the whole procedure there is no energy exchange between the atoms and the cavity field, and moreover, no quantum measurement is needed, so the scheme is more feasible under the current experimental technology.
