Abstract: The imaging model for Aerial LOng Range Oblique Photography (LOROP) camera is the basis of geometric calibration, atmospheric refraction and assemble error correction. Based on the analysising of the LOROP camera imaging principle, eliminating the moving photography center, we construct a strict imaging model of LOROP camera, which through simulation verify its correctness, making the model solvable and has physical meaning, lays the foundation of related research. In addition, through theoretical analysis and simulation measurements, we can conclude that the LOROP camera has the advantage of no image rotation. Finally, theoretical analysis of the motion control of the LOROP camera indicates that the scanning position and the speed of image motion compensation were nonlinear processes.
