Dispersion and Nonlinear Property in Dispersion Flattened Photonic Crystal Fiber

Abstract:

The dispersion and nonlinear property of dispersion flattened photonic crystal fibers(PCF) with different structural parameters were numerically analyzed using beam propagation method.We calculated dispersion coefficient D, effective mode area and nonlinear coefficient .We analyzed the relationship between D, and pitch , hole diameter d. The results indicate that dispersion and nonlinear property of dispersion flattened photonic crystal fiber can be controlled by the structural parameters , d .In the range from 1300nm to 1600nm, PCF’s dispersion achives about -1.5 ,non-linear cofficient is above 19.
