Abstract:

The interaction Hamiltonian of a two-level atom and a single-mode radiation field with time-varying frequency is studied. The special attention is paid on the relationship between the atom-field coupling and the frequency of the cavity field or the volume of the cavity. By using the vibration mechanism of the cavity mirror, we studied the impact induced by the vibration of cavity mirror on the optical mode inside the cavity and on the volume of the cavity, and the exact relationship between the time-varying frequency of the cavity field and the atom-field coupling constant is found.

Key words: q quantum optics, atom-field coupling constant, time-varying-frequency field, vibration of cavity mirrors
