Abstract: In recent years, the rapid development of atom interferometry provides a new way for rotation precision measurements and related applications. Atom interferometry based gyroscope has higher sensitivity than traditional optical gyroscopes, it is a new generation inertial measurement instrument, and it has great application prospects. We reviewed the basic principle, main performance and technical characteristics of atom interferometry based gyroscopes, introduced the recent results of Raman-type atom gyroscope in our group, and analyzed the current research status and development trend.
