Abstract: When the spacecraft is operating in the space environment of temperature change, its surface dielectric material will be caused different levels of charge, the discharge hazards are easily caused. In order to study the influence of temperature change and plasma environment change on the charging level of surface dielectric materials, the surface charge synthetic experimental system for the dielectric material of spacecraft, which was developed and established by own, and temperature controllable, was used to experiment the surface charge of polyimide material. Experimental results show that, under the condition of constant temperature, with the increase of beam current density, the balance potential of surface charge of polyimide is gradually increased. Under the condition of constant beam density, with the increase of temperature, the balance potential of surface charge of polyimide is gradually decreased. When the temperature is in the range of 243K~363K, the greater the density of the beam, the smaller the effect of the temperature change on the surface charge balance potential of the polyimide; when the temperature is in the range of 243K~273K, the greater the density of the beam, the greater the effect of the temperature change on the surface charge balance potential of the polyimide.
