Implementation of a quantum error-correction code via spin-photon interactions

Abstract: A scheme for implementing a three-qubit repetition quantum error-correction code with photon-spin interactions is presented. Polarizing beam splitters, photon detectors and micropillar cavities are used to realize quantum nondemolition measurement of the single spin, which are very important in quantum information processing. It is shown that this scheme is feasible in the current experimental technology.
